InWords - an Emerging Technology Top 100 Qualifier

InWords, a leading supplier of technical documentation services and solutions, today announced that the company has been recognized as "Emerging Technology Top 100 qualifier" in the "2005 Emerging Technology Top 100 Awards Programme."

Technology Top 100 (TT100) is South Africa's foremost business excellence awards programme. It addresses small, medium and large enterprises, and technology organizations such as science councils and universities.

TT100 recognizes the way in which organizations use technology to achieve, more effectively, their own objectives, be they maximizing profits, gaining market share or creating niche markets for adding value.

InWords makes innovative use of free and open source technologies in order to improve its ability to service a growing international client base of technology vendors.

"The standard of entries was very high and InWords can rightfully take pride in the knowledge that they achieved this prestigious level of recognition." states Stephan  J. Lamprecht, General Manager for Technology Top 100, a division of Da Vinci Enterprises.

"We are pleased to receive such recognition from an organization such as Technology Top 100. Even more so when we realize that there were a record number of entrants this year. I think that our qualification just goes to show how free and open software is opening the doors to a new future of innovation and progress." said Sean Wheller, Director of InWords. "While we have developed our documentation service offering and packaged it, we must not forget that a part of our success is thanks to the excellent software and support we get from the open source projects whose technologies we use and therefore contribute back to."
